PATRICK GAVIN

Patrick Gavin is an journalist, visual storyteller and filmmaker. 

He is the director of “Nerd Prom: Inside Washington’s Wildest Week,” a feature-length documentary that exposed the biggest annual event in Washington, D.C.: The White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The movie was hailed by Larry King as “a very important and hysterical documentary” and Newsweek magazine called it “a telling, smart look at this orgy of partying and social insecurity.” It garnered press in such outlets as the New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, the Associated Press, the Guardian, National Review, Variety, the Washington Post, the Huffington Post, Page Six, National Public Radio, People magazine and Vanity Fair. 

His production company, PWG Media Group, helps partners tell their stories in innovative and compelling ways and has produced videos for Laird Hamilton and Gabrielle Reece, Floyd Mayweather, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, the Guardian, Tribune Media, the Washington Business Journal, the Forward, Mic, Gurney’s Montauk, Tequila Don Julio, Revolution, USA Today, the Distilled Spirits Council, the American Historical Association, Antiquities Coalition and Veluxe.
